  The carved sign says cocktails. The ambiance screams local dive bar. Both great indicators of at the very least, an interesting experience. It doesn't have to be a fantastic drink but work with what you have. Our initial experience was a walk by on our way to dinner, the bartender was pleasant and let us know that they serve simple drinks and are open late (2am). When we returned, a different bartender did nothing but insult my wife and I and eventually refused to serve us even though we were simply asking what we did to offend him.
  
  If you're looking for a place that is trying to stay relevant and to be the "blue collar" Carmel, then this is the place for you. Totally unoriginal rip off of an episode of Shameless, this place will do nothing to enhance your experience of Carmel.
  
  This place might be for you if you're looking to have unsolicited insults hurled your way if you don't dress, act, speak, or look middle class white generic, appearing in a way that makes the bartenders subjectively feel better about their rock bottom place in life.
  
  The unfortunate part is that this place thrives off bad reviews and even encourages them. Catering to the two local, middle aged people at the bar, the Carny bartender mentioned three times that we were millennials and should leave Yelp reviews.
  
  Save yourself time and hassle and just walk by knowing that you are better than the scum bag, local patrons and trolls that are employed there.
  
  As a result of this place we will not return to this tourist trap city. Everything is over priced, over promised and takes itself way too seriously.
