  Horrible!!!! horrible!!! experience at this gym today from the front desk staff Jim.
  
  My husband, son and I went to this gym to work out as I moved to this area because of job. I originally have my platinum membership in the east bay.
  
  Upon signing in, this front desk staff Jim questioned us (me and my son, as my husband was parking our car), where we got our original membership from!? He asked, “was it at Monterey?” I said, “no, I got it from east bay.” Then he said, “well that’s okay for now because it’s holiday and a lot of people are visiting. We welcome some visitors that are coming in to our “little gym. temporarily. That’s okay.”
  
  Then my husband entered the gym, checked in and was also questioned by the same guy, Jim. He asked the same question and was told the same remarks to my husband plus he made a comment “we only allow certain type of people in this gym because we have a unique kind of membership.” And my husband said, “what? What do you mean you only allow certain type of people? And you have a unique membership?!” Then he said, “if you want to stay in this gym permanently you can just actually talk to my manager and he would explain to you more.”
  
  You know, we were in total shock and could not imagine how we werw treated at this gym! It’s because we are Asians and not white, like majority of their members,? That’s why we were treated and harassed like that? My poor 11 year old son was totally in shock and just said, “he is racist, mom.” I was crying out of frustration because I couldn’t justify what he personally experience from this person at a very young age,
  
  My family and I have been a member at inShape for sometime. The reason why I chose to be a member with this company because I know I will have the privilege to go to other locations that accepts the same membership category as I have. And mind you, InShape Carmel accepts platinum membership like we have!
